States Expected to Announce $26B Opioid Deal With Drug Distributors, J&J: Reuters

U.S. state attorneys general and lawyers for local governments are expected on Wednesday to unveil a landmark, $26 billion settlement resolving claims that the three largest U.S. drug distributors and drugmaker Johnson & Johnson helped fuel a nationwide opioid epidemic, a person familiar with the matter said. Under the settlement proposal, distributors McKesson Corp , Cardinal Health Inc and AmerisourceBergen Corp are expected to pay a combined $21 billion, while Johnson & Johnson would pay $5 billion. AIG delivers strong Q1 financial results

American International Group (AIG) has reported net income attributable to AIG common shareholders of $3.9 billion in the first quarter (Q1) of 2021, up from $1.7 billion in the prior year quarter. 2.3 million homeowners still aren’t making their monthly mortgage payments The share of mortgages in forbearance continues to retreat from last summer’s highs, but roughly 2.3 million homeowners are still taking a hiatus from their monthly mortgage payments, according to the latest numbers from the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA).
